Liberal çoğulculuğun sınırları

Abstract

Çoğulculuk, günümüz toplum yapılarında kaçınılmaz bir hale gelmiştir. Toplumların bu çoğulcu yapıları, çeşitliliklerin temsili ve tanınması açısından bazı problemleri beraberinde getirmektedir. Özellikle yeni toplumsal hareketlerle birlikte farklı kimliklerin temsilinin gündeme gelmesiyle tamamen görünür hale gelen bu çeşitlilikler, modern toplumun çoğulcu karakterini gözler önüne sermektedir. Var olan bu çeşitliliklerin tanınması ve barış içerisinde toplumda bir arada yaşayabilmelerinin tesisi amacıyla ortaya çıkan liberal çoğulculuk, farklı kimliklerin haklarının korunması ve temsili açısından yetersiz kalmaktadır. Bu çalışmada liberal çoğulculuğun sınırlı kaldığı alanlar ele alınarak bir liberal çoğulculuk eleştirisi yapılmıştır.

Pluralism has become inevitable in today's society structures. These pluralistic structures of societies bring with it some problems in terms of the representation and recognition of diversity. These diversities, which become fully visible, especially when new social movements come together with the representation of different identities, reveal the pluralistic character of the modern society. The liberal pluralism that emerges for the recognition of these existing diversity and the ability to live together in peace in society is inadequate in terms of the protection and representation of the rights of different identities. In this study, a critique of liberal pluralism was made by considering the limited areas of liberal pluralism.
