Türk tarih tezi ile Türk dil tezinin kavşağında Güneş-Dil Teorisi

Abstract

Türkiye’nin modernleşme sürecinde hem çağdaşlaşma hem de ulusal kimliğin inşası açısından Türkçenin merkezî bir önemi vardır. Genç Türkiye Cumhuriyeti otuzlu yıllarda hem ulusal kimliğin inşası hem de çağdaşlaşma uğruna birçok devrimler yapmıştır. Cumhuriyet bu uğurda Türk Tarihi Tetkik Cemiyeti ile Türk Dili Tetkik Cemiyeti’ni kurmuş ve kongreler düzenlemiştir. Bu kongrelerde çağdaşlaşma ve ulusal kimliğin inşası için Türk tarih tezi ve Türk dil tezi geliştirilmiştir. Bu iki tez anlaşılmadan Türk modernleşmesinin hedefleri anlaşılamaz. Türk tarih ve Türk dil tezinin ruhunu en iyi yansıtan şeyse Üçüncü Türk Dili Kurultayı’nda geliştirilen Güneş-Dil Teorisi’dir. Bu makalede Türk modernleşmesine temel teşkil eden Türk tarih tezi ile Türk dil tezinin ruhunu en iyi yansıtan Güneş-Dil Teorisi ele alınmaya çalışılmıştır.

Turkish has a vital importance in Turkey’s modernization and nation building process. To reach that particular aim, Young Turkish Republic radically changed so many things in the thirties. The republic established Türk Tarihi Tetkik Cemiyeti and Türk Dili Tetkik Cemiyeti and organized congresses, in which thesis of Turkish history and language was developed. It is not possible to understand the aim of Turkish modernization without grasping the meanings of those two particular thesis. We claim that it was Sun-Language Theory which reflects the spirit of those two thesis. In this article I will try to show the importance of Sun-Language Theory.
