Van ve yöresi içme sularında koliform ve e. coli araştırılması

Abstract

Bu çalışma Van ve yöresindeki içme ve doğal kaynak sularının koliform grubu ve Escherichia coli yönünden incelenmesi amacıyla yapıldı. Bu amaçla 24 doğal kaynak ve 176 şebeke suyu olmak üzere değişik yerlerden toplam 200 su örneği toplandı. Koliform bakteri ve E. coli’nin aranmasında membran filtrasyon tekniği kullanıldı. Değişik kaynaklardan toplanan içme suyu örneklerinde % 17.5 koliform ve %10 E. coli bulundu. Sonuç olarak; incelenen içme suyu örneklerinde E. coli’nin bulunmasının halk sağlığı açısından potansiyel bir sağlık tehlikesi oluşturabileceği kanaatine varıldı.

This study was performed to investigate source and drinking waters in term of coliform group and Escherichia coli of Van and province. 24 natural springs and 176 public drinking water supply distribution systems a total of 200 samples were collected. The membrane filter (MF) method were used for detection and enumeration of coliform bacteria and E. coli in drinking water. Coliforms and E. coli in drinking water samples collected from different sources were found in the rate 17.5 % and 10 % respectively. As a result it was suggested that the samples examined has contaminated with E. coli has questioned with regard to the potential puclic health hazard related to the use of such waters.
