Abstract: Today, even after nearly five centuries of the rise of secularism in the West, there are more Christian churches in present day Muslim world than there are mosques in all of Western Europe. At the same time, in most of the Islamic world today there is as much freedom of worship for non-Muslims as there is freedom of worship for Muslims in the West riot to speak of the much greater influence that minority non-Muslims exercise on Muslim authorities in Dar al-Islam than viceversa.
