Tarihsel süreci ve işleyişi çerçevesinde Bursa Hamidiye Gurebâ Hastanesi

Abstract

Osmanlı Devleti 19. yüzyılda, özellikle 3 Kasım 1839 tarihinde ilan edilen Gülhane Hatt-ı Hümayûnu (Tanzimat Fermanı) sonrasında önemli bir değişim sürecine girmiştir. Bu dönemde sağlık alanında da modernleşmeye gidilmiş, bu kapsamda çeşitli hastaneler inşa edilmiştir. Bu yıllarda "Gurebâ" ismiyle anılan hastaneler yapılmış, bunları Sultan II. Abdülhamid döneminde inşa edilen ve adına "Hamidiye Hastaneleri" denilen hastaneler izlemiştir. Bursa Hamidiye Gurebâ Hastanesi, yenileşme çabalarının neredeyse her alana yansıdığı bir dönemde Bursa kentinin modernize edilmesi ve şehir ahalisine daha iyi sağlık hizmeti sunulması amacıyla kurulmuştur. Bu çalışma Osmanlı Devleti'nin son döneminde sağlık alanında gerçekleştirilen reformlar bağlamında bu devletin 19. yüzyıldaki sağlık teşkilatlanması ile bu süreçte kurulan Bursa Hamidiye Gurebâ Hastanesi'nin tarihsel gelişimi ve yapılanması üzerine bir incelemedir.

In the 19th century, the Ottoman Empire had been through an important process of transformation, particularly after Gülhane Hatt-ı Hümayûnu (the Imperial Edict of Gülhane) which was announced in November 3rd, 1839. In this period, the field of health has also been put through reformation, and numerous new hospitals were built within this context. In this years, the hospitals were names as "Gurebâ" established and these were followed by new hospitals named as "Hamidiye Hospitals" during the reign of Abhdulhamid II. Bursa Hamidiye Gurebâ Hospital was established at a date when modernization efforts made an effect on almost every field, and aimed at modernization of the city of Bursa and delivering better health services to the city dwellers. This study is a research on health organization in 19th century of Ottoman Empire as part of reforms which were made in the field of health in the last period of the State and historical process and organization of Bursa Hamidiye Gurebâ Hospital founded in that period.
