Mu‘tezilî kelâm’da ilcâ’ düşüncesi üzerine bazı notlar

Abstract

İlcâ’ Mu‘tezilî kelâmda ‘Allah’ın iradesi ile kulların gerçekte yaptıkları fiiller arasındaki çelişki’ problemine çözüm olarak ortaya konulan bir kavramdır. Ancak Mu‘tezilî düşüncede ilcâ’ kavramı sadece ilâhî irade tartışmalarında yer almamış, aynı zamanda insan fiilleri bağlamında da tartışılmıştır. Özellikle Mu‘tezilî müellif Kâdı Abdülcebbâr, el-Muğnî isimli eserinde ilcâ’ (zorlama) altında işlenen fiillerin ahlâki değeri ve insanların bu fiiller konusundaki sorumluluğunu detaylı biçimde tartışmaktadır. Bu makalede Mu‘tezilî kelâmda ilcâ’ fikri çeşitli yönleriyle ayrıntılı biçimde ortaya konmakta ve bu konu hakkında Mu‘tezilîler ile Eş‘arîler arasındaki tartışmalar incelenmektedir.

Iljā’ (constraint) is a concept which was introduced in Mu‘tazilite theology as a solution to the problem of the discrepancy between God’s will and what men actually do. But, in Mu‘tazilite thought, the notion of iljā’ occurs not only in the discussion of the Divine will, but it was also discussed in the context of human acts. Especially Mu‘tazilite author Qādī ‘Abd al-Jabbār discusses the ethical values of actions performed under constraint and men’s responsibility for these actions in his work al-Mughnī in detail. In this article the notion of iljā’ in Mu‘tazilite theology is elaborated from various aspects and discussions between Mu‘tazilites and Ash‘arites about this issue are examined.
