Seyrü sülûk çerçevesinde mürid ve mürşid kimliği

Abstract

İslam dinini ideal bir şekilde hayata uygulama metotlarından biri olarak ortaya çıkan tasavvuf, hicri II. asrın sonlarından beri İslam'ın bütün insanlığa ulaşmayı hedefleyen ebedi kurtuluş davetine her devirde yeniden ruh vererek canlılığını korumuş ve korumaktadır. Sıradan bir insana, Allah'ın istediği "kâmil insan" modelini gerçekleştirmesi için adeta bir merdiven oluşturmuş ve aşılması gereken evreleri basamak basamak göstermiştir. Bu sürece seyrü sülûk adı verilmiş olup, bunu gerçekleştirebilmek için o süreçten geçmiş ve nasıl geçileceği konusunda tecrübe sahibi olan rehberlerin yol göstericiliği ile somut bir fırsat sunulmuştur. Bu kılavuzluğa irşad adı verilmiş olup irşadı gerçekleştirenlere tarihi süreçte delîl, üstâd, şeyh, sûfî gibi farklı isimler verilmiş olmakla birlikte yine irşad kavramından hareketle mürşid isminde karar kılınmış gibidir. Bir mürşid eliyle irşad edilmek isteyenlere mürid adı verilmiş olup, onların bu isteklerine de irade denmiştir. Hem müridin hem de mürşidin amaçlarını gerçekleştirmede uyacakları kurallara ise edep denilir. Mürşid ile müridi buluşturan irşad, tasavvufun merkezi kavramları arasında öne çıkmıştır. Hemen her devirde oldukça popüler bir konu olan mürşidleri tanıyabilme meselesi, günümüzde de insanlar tarafından oldukça merak edilen bir konu olmaya devam etmektedir. Bu çalışmada mürid ve mürşidin özellikleri, seyrü sülûk süreci etrafında ve ilk dönemden günümüze kadar ki belli başlı kaynaklarda yer alan veriler bir araya getirilmek suretiyle yeni bir kompozisyonla sunulmaya çalışılmıştır.

Sufism that emerged as one of the methods for adopting Islam into the actual life in an ideal manner has preserved and is continuing to preserve its vitality by providing a new spirit to the eternal salvation invitation of Islam since the end of the 2nd century. It has become almost a ladder for the ordinary human being for actualizing the "perfect human being" model desired by Allah thus indicating the stages to be passed step by step. This process has been known as seyrü sülûk and an opportunity has been provided by way of guides who have passed through those stages and are experienced in how to do so. This guidance is called irşad and even though those who have performed irşad have been known throughout history with different names such as delîl, üstâd, şeyh, sûfî; the term of murshid was decided upon based on the concept of irşad. Those who wish to walk on this path guided by a murshid have been called as murid and their desire to do so has been named as irade (will). Edep (good manner) is the name given to the rules that both murid and murshid should abide by while striving to reach these goals. Guidance (irşad) which brings together the murshid and murid has come to the forefront as one of the central concepts of Sufism. The issue of recognizing murshids which has been a quite popular subject in almost all periods of time continues to be a matter of interest for the people of our day. The objective of this study was to present the characteristics of murids and murshids by bringing together the data in various sources as well as within the framework of the concept of seyrü sülûk.
