Ebû Hâşim el-Cübbâî’nin ahvâl teorisi üzerine bazı mülahazalar

Abstract

Kelâm ilminde zât-sıfat ilişkisine yönelik açıklamalar temelde iki tanedir. Bunlardan biri zâttan bağımsız sıfatları reddeden Mutezile’nin nominalist anlayışı iken, diğeri sıfatların zâttan bağımsız gerçek varlıkları olduğunu ileri süren Ehl-i Sünnet’in realist anlayışıdır. Birbirine tamamen zıt olan bu iki anlayışın arasında ise Ebû Hâşim elCübbâî’nin ahvâl teorisi yer alır. O, bu teoriyle söz konusu sıfat anlayışlarını uzlaştırmaya çalışmıştır. Bu çalışmada Ebû Hâşim’in bu teorisinin genel ilkeleri hakkında bilgi verilmekte ve klâsik kaynaklarda görülen teoriyle ilgili yanlış anlamalara dikkat çekilmektedir.

There are two main theories about the relation of God’s qualities with His esence. One of them is nominalism of Mutazilah that refuses the existence of qualities beyond divine esence, other one is realism of Ahl-i Sunnah that asserts real existence of qualities which are neither combined with nor completely seperated from divine esence. Abu Hāshim al-Jubbai’s theory of “states” is between of these theories which are diametrically opposed to each other. Asserting this theory he seems to reconcile these different views. This study gives information about the main characteristics of the theory of states and points to misunderstandings and obfuscations related to the theory in classical sources.
