Hz. Peygamber’in ilk vahyin akabinde intiharı düşünmesi ile ilgili rivayetlerin tahlil ve tenkidi

Abstract

Hz. Peygamber’in vahiyle ilk karşılaşma anı ve sonrası hadis kitaplarındaki rivayetler yoluyla detaylı olarak anlatılmaktadır. Tüm rivayetler İlk gelen vahiyden sonra vahyin bir dönem kesildiğini belirtmiştir. Yalnız rivayetler arasında biri, diğerlerinde olmayan bir idrâc ile karşımıza çıkmıştır. Buna göre Hz. Peygamber vahyin kesilmesine çok üzülmüş, kendini yüksek dağlardan aşağı atmayı bile düşünmüştür. Fakat rivayet dikkatle incelendiğinde Zührî’nin, intihar teşebbüsü hadisesini, senedde kopukluk olduğunu gösteren “beleğanâ” lafzıyla rivayet ettiği görülmektedir. Bu durum mezkûr rivayetin sened tenkidi doğrultusunda araştırılmasını gerekli kılmıştır. Ayrıca olayın ana temasının intihar gibi Allah’ın ve Hz. Peygamber’in yasakladığı bir fiil olması rivayetin muhteva açısından da incelenmesinin gerekli olduğu sonucunu doğurmuştur.

First encounter of the Prophet with revelation and afterwards is reported in detail by the hadith sources. A lot of traditions in these sources assert that revelation was interrupted for a while after the very first one. However, one of these traditions carries an idraj (interpolation) which is not reported in any other. According to this one, Prophet was so much upset by the interruption of the revelation that he even thought of throwing himself down from a high mountain. After scrutinizing the hadith, one can realize that al-Zuhrī is transmitting this episode of suicide attempt with the saying of “بلغنا/balaghanā” which indicates a cut-off in the isnād (the chain of the transmission). Therefore, the hadith is required to be examined through the criticism of the isnād. Besides that, since the main theme of the tradition, suicide, is an act which is prohibited by God and the Prophet, it is necessary to investigate the content of the hadith as well.
