Şemsüleimme es-Serahsî’nin el-Mebsût adlı eserinin hacmi üzerine

Abstract

Bu makalede, uzun süreli mahkûmiyet ve kütüphanesinden mahrumiyet gibi çok zor şartlar altında öğrencilerine dikte ettiği kitaplarla Hanefî fıkhının çağlar boyu sağlıklı ve ayrıntılı bir şekilde nesilden nesile aktarılmasında esaslı rol oynayan V. (XI.) yüzyıl İslâm hukukçusu Şemsüleimme es-Serahsî’nin en önemli eseri olan el-Mebsût’un, satır sayısı esas alınarak toplam hacmi tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu doğrultuda, söz konusu kitabın ciltleri ve ana konularına ilişkin sayfa ve satır temelinde çeşitli sayısal veriler çizelgelerle gösterilmiş ve değerlendirilmiştir. Alanında ilk örnek sayılabilecek olan bu çalışmanın, bilimsel eserlerin hacimlerinin tespitine yönelik mezhep içi ve mezhepler arası karşılaştırmalı pek çok araştırmaya kapı açması ve bilimsel ölçülülük ekseninde ilim yolcularına küçük de olsa bir katkı sağlaması hedeflenmiştir.

In this article, it is tried to determine the total volume of alMabsūt by taking its number of lines into consideration, which is the most important work of Shams al-Aimma al-Sarakhsī, an V. (XI.) century Islamic jurist, who played an essential role to transfer Hanafī fiqh properly and profoundly from one generation to another throughout the ages by means of the books which he dictated his disciples under very hard conditions such as a longterm conviction and deprivation of his library. Accordingly, various numerical data were shown and evaluated in tables on the basis of number of pages and lines related to the volumes and the main theme of the mentioned book. This work which could be considered to be the first example in its area aims at bringing about a lot of intra-denominational and inter-denominational comparative researches which are about determining the volumes of scientific works and giving some help to the science enthusiasts on the basis of scientific moderation.
