New Haven, Connecticut, 1958.Albert O.Hirschman'ın «The strategy of Economic Development adlı eseri 1958 de Yale University Press tarafından as mı tır. Yazar 1952 - 1956 yıllarında önce resmi ekonomik danışman daha sonra da özel uzman olarak Kolombiya'da bulunmuştur. 1956 -1957 öğretim yılında Yale Üniversitesinde profesör olarak bulunduğu sırada Kolombiya örneğine dayanan teorisini kurmuş ve böylece aşağıda önemli bölümlerini incelediğimiz Kalkınma Stratejisi adlı eseri ortaya çıkmıştır.
