Yahudilik karşıtı Hıristiyan polemikleri bağlamında Klunili Peter (Peter the Venerable) ve mesih eleştirisi

Abstract

Hıristiyanlık ortaya çıkışından itibaren Yahudilikle yoğun bir ilişki içerisinde olmuştur. Hıristiyanlık açısından Yahudilikle ortak bir kutsal metne sahip olmak bu bağın temel sebebini oluşturmaktadır. İlk yüzyıllardan itibaren Kutsal Kitabı yorumlamada ortaya çıkan farklılıklar ise iki dinî grup arasındaki çekişmenin temelini teşkil etmiştir. Bu çekişme yazılı kültüre de yansımış ve karşılıklı polemik metinleri geniş bir literatür oluşturmuştur. Bu çalışmanın ana konusu olan Klunili Peter'ın "Yahudilerin Müzmin İnatçılığına Karşı" adlı eseri de bu literatürün on ikinci yüzyıldaki örneklerinden biridir. Bu çalışma iki ana bölüme ayrılmaktadır. Birinci Bölüm'de Yahudi-Hıristiyan ilişkilerinin tarihçesi, bu ilişkilerin seyrinde önemli role sahip şahıslar ve eserlerinden örnekler, Klunili Peter'ın hayatı ve eserlerine dair bilgiler sunulmaktadır. İkinci Bölüm'de ise çalışmanın ana konusunu oluşturan "Yahudilerin Müzmin İnatçılığına Karşı" adlı eserde Yahudilere Mesih konusunda yöneltilen eleştiriler incelenmektedir.

Christianity has had a deep relationship with Judaism since its birth. For Christianity, this relationship is based on the fact that Christianity and Judaism have the same Bible. However, since the first centuries, the divergence about the interpretation of the Bible is the main reason of the conflict between these two religious groups. This conflict has determined on the written culture. Thus, the mutual polemic texts have constituted a wide literature. Peter the Venerable's "Against the Inveterate Obduracy of the Jews", which is the main topic of this study, is one of those texts as well. This study has two main parts. The first part presents and discusses the history of the relationship between Judaism and Christianity, the figures who have an important role on this relationship, the essays of those figures, the life of Peter the Venerable, and his essays. The second part examines the critics against the Jews about Christ, which have been had in "Against the Inveterate Obduracy of the Jews" being the main topic of this study.
