The genus Dicta mnus L. (Rutaceae) is represented in the flora of Turkey by a single species, D. alb us L. (1). In Flora Europaea, and Flora of Turkey, the auto critics argue the existence of different species, a s covered i n the Flora of USSR, but consider D. albus L. as a single, polymorphic species representing Dictamnus in Europe and Turkey (2, 3). In Turkey the plant is locally known as "Akg irit otuor Gazel otu ", and the flowering branches are used asstom stomach ic, stimulant, tonic, and antipyretic (4, 5).en_US
