Abstract: A Monte Carlo code is developed which simulates the interactions and transport of electrons within a given medium, The backscattering coefficients, the most probable range, the extrapolated surface distance and the range distribution of monoenergetic electrons of a parallel beam entering into semi-infinite Al, Cu and NaI media for initial electron energies of 150, 300, 500 and 1000 keV are obtained by using the code. The Rayleigh and Gaussian distribution functions are proposed for the range distribution of electrons with various energies and various semi-infinite media.
