Bankacılık krizleri ve Türkiye örneği

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türk Bankacılık Sektörünün, 2001 krizi ile son küresel krizden ne derece etkilendiğini ortaya koymaktır. Bu bağlamda bankacılık sektörünün her iki krizden etkilenme derecesi tartışılmıştır. 2008 yılında yaşanan küresel finansal kriz ülke ekonomilerini birçok açıdan etkilemiştir. Türkiye ekonomisi de hiç şüphesiz bu krizden etkilenmiştir. Fakat Türkiye ekonomisi 2001 krizinden sonra bankacılık sektöründe bir dizi düzenleme yapmıştır. Bu çalışmanın sonuçlarına göre, 2001 krizinin ardından uygulamaya konulan yeniden yapılandırma programı ile bankacılık sektörü daha sağlam bir yapıya kavuşmuştur. Sektör 2001 krizindeki gibi olumsuz sonuçlar yaşamamıştır. Sektörün aktif yapısı ve karlılığı bozulmamıştır.

The aim of this study is to show the effects of 2001 crisis and 2008 global financial crisis on Turkish banking sector. In this context, Impact levels of both of the crisis on the banking sector are discussed.The global financial crisis in 2008 has affected economies of countries in many aspects. Turkey's economy was definitely affected by this crisis. But several regulations concerned banking sector have been made in Turkish economy after the 2001 crisis. With regard to the results of this study, banking system got a stronger structure by the restructuring program that has put into effect after 2001. The sector has not experienced any negative consequences, such as the crisis in 2001. Asset structure and profitability of the sector have not been distorted.
