Atatürk dönemi Türk tiyatrosu: Afife Jale ve kadın tiyatrocular

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, kadının tiyatrodaki yerinin, Atatürk Döneminin ilk yıllarında tiyatro anlayışına paralel değişimi incelenerek, bu dönemde tiyatroda yaşanan gelişmeler değerlendirilmiştir. Kadınlarımızın tiyatroda varlıklarını göstermek için verdikleri mücadele uzun zaman almış, bu süreçte onları destekleyen veya eleştiren görüşler ifade edilmiştir. Afife Jale, Türk kadınının erkekler gibi tiyatroda yer alabilmesi için mücadele etmiştir. Afife Jale’nin sahneye çıkan ilk Türk kadın tiyatrocu olarak yaşadıkları kadar diğer ilk kadın tiyatrocularımızın da sanat yaşamları oldukça zorlu bir süreçtir. Bu doğrultuda Atatürk Döneminin kazanım ve değerlerinin kadın- tiyatro ekseninde topluma yansıma süreci ve toplumda yarattığı etki ele alınmıştır. Araştırmamızda uzun ve zorlu mücadeleler vererek mesleklerinde “ilk” olan bu öncü kadınların sanat yaşamına olan katkılarının belgeler ışığında ortaya konması hedeflenmiştir.

This study examines the changing of theatre comprehension in the first years of the Ataturk period according to the place of women in theatre, developments on theatre within the Atatürk period has evaluated. The struggle of our women to show their presence in Turkish theatre has taken a long time and opinions that supporting or criticizing them has expressed for female stage actors in this process. Afife Jale has struggled for Turkish women to get involved in Turkish theatre just as stage actors. Experiences of Afife Jale on stage as a first Turkish female stage actor is a difficult period as well as the art life of other first Turkish female stage actors. In this direction, the reflection process and impacts of the values and achievements based on the women-theatre context in the Ataturk period on community have evaluated. This research is aiming to reveal the contributions of these women who are “first” and pioneer in their profession by giving long and difficult struggles for the art life in line with the documents and resources.
