Abstract: Objective of the Study: Organizational stress can emerge as a result of the quality of an organizational role depending on the quality of the responsibility, as well as on work and working environment, human relations in the workplace, organizational structure and atmosphere. In order to reduce the effects of organizational stress which arise depending on various causes, different ways of coping with stress is expressed. In our time it is seen that organizational stress is one of the serious problems faced in health sector. Methodology: In this study it was intended to search the situations of confronting organizational stress, reasons for organizational stress and ways of coping with the stress of healthcare workers in a hospital selected in Zonguldak. In order to accomplish this aim, a questionaire related with organizational stress was used. Results: The conclusion of the study reveal that 61.3% of the healthcare workers are in 21 - 38 year age group, 65.5% constituted by women, 34.5% are nurses, 55.7% said they incurred organizational stress. Concerning the methods for coping with stress it is envisaged that 59.3% of the healthcare workers relax by sharing their problems with the people they confide in, 53.1% occupied himself/herself with other things to get away from the cause which created stress, 51.0% tried to remain calm in spite of all are among the other findings. Conclusion: By making some arrangements within the structure of the organization reducing the organizational stress is likely to be possible.
