| Abstract: | Bilateral SOM tanısı konulan 51 hastanın bir kulağına miringotomi, diğer kulağına VT uygulanmış, VT uygulanan kulaklardaki iyileşme oranının daha yüksek olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca sosyo ekonomik durumu düşük hastaların postoperatif takibinde ortaya çıkan güçlükler nedeniyle, VT uygulamasına öncelik verilmesi gerektiği kanısına varılmıştır. The results of treatment by myringotomy us. ventilation tubes in 51 patients with bilateral SOM are presented and discussed. The results are found to be better in the VT inserted ears. Moreover, the· insertion of VT should have priority in the treatment of patients in low socioeconomic status, because of the tardiness of these patients in attending postoperative controls. |
