| tr_TR |
dc.description.abstract | Between January 1988 and August 1989, 160 neonates with seizures were diagnosed and treated. The aims of the study were to determine the distribution of clinical seizures types and causative factors and the relation between etiology and the time of onset of the seizures. Hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HİE) was the most common cause (38 %). Infections such as meningitis and sepsis followed HIE with the rate of 26 %. Subtle (40 %) and multifocal clonic seizures (32 %) were the most common seizure types. 45 % of all seizures occured in the first 2 days of life. More over, 75 % of all seizures in the first 2 days were related in HİE. 75 % of the seizures with infections were seen after the fourth day of life. | en_US |
