Abstract: The end of a scleral fixation suture may erode through the conjunctiva and become exposed. To avoid this, a scleral flap, autologous cornea, dura mater, or fascia lata patches have been used to cover the ends, and rotation of the knot into the tissue has been reported. An alternative technique to bury the end of the suture is described.
