Panoptikondan post-panoptikona geçişte sınırların dönüşümü

Abstract

Kendini modernliğin mimari bir yapılanması olarak gösteren panoptikon tasarımcısı Bentham hayattaki iken mimari bütünlüğü ile hayata geçirilememiş ancak takip eden süreçte tüm bir modern çağın ruhunu oluşturmuştur. Panoptikon modern iktidarın sınırları takip etmek için oldukça geniş bir imkân alanı sunmaktadır. Modernliğin katı disiplinlerle örülmüş sınırları özgürleşme vaadine karşılık kendini şiddetle müdafaa etme hali sınırın dışarısında bıraktığına yaşam hakkı tanımayan tutumu kendini panoptikonda göstermiştir. Güç kullanımını en aza indirmeyi hedefleyerek klasik iktidar metotlarını dönüşüme uğratan bu yeni düzen post-panoptik süreçte kendini aşarak ilerlemiştir. İktidar artık tamamen görünmez hale gelmiştir. Ve kaba güç kullanımı mekânsal sınırlandırmayı da aşarak kendini akışkanlığa bırakmıştır. Post-panoptik stratejiler sınır çizmek için arzu, teşvik, ikna ve özgürlük yollarına başvurarak mahkumlarına özgür olduklarını yanılsamasını yaşatmışlardır. Panoptik sınırlar post-panoptikonda imkân ölçülerinin en yüksek düzeyine erişmiştir.

Panopticon designer Bentham, who presents himself as an architectural embodiment of modernity, could not be realized with its architectural integrity while he was alive, but in the following process he created the spirit of a whole modern age. The panopticon offers a wide range of possibilities to follow the borders of modern power. The strict disciplined borders of modernity, despite the promise of liberation, the state of self-defense with violence left the border outside the border, and its attitude that does not recognize the right to life showed itself in the panopticon. This new order, which transforms classical power methods by aiming to minimize the use of force, has progressed beyond itself in the post-panoptic process. Power has now become completely invisible. And the use of brute force has transcended the spatial limitation and left itself to fluidity. Post-panoptic strategies have used the means of desire, encouragement, persuasion and freedom to draw boundaries, giving their prisoners the illusion that they are free. Panoptic borders have reached the highest level of possibility in the post-panopticon.
