dc.description.abstractAlkyl bromoacetates were shown to be versatile transesterification reagents. Isoxazoles underwent chemoselective transesterification when treated with alkyl bromoacetate-Zn in THF at reflux. A suggested mechanism of the new reaction was discussed.en_US
