Abstract:	A new species of the cohort Uropodina (Acari: Uropodidae), Uropoda abantica n. sp., collected from moss and litter under scotch pine and beech tree in Western Turkey is described. Characteristic features and figures of female, male and deutonymph of the new species are given.
