In this work, an example of a mechatronic system that involves all elements of model-based design, called an object follower system, has been developed. This system is a servo system that is able to recognize within its field of view an object that has a certain color and space, and it is able to control the camera's point of view to center the object through the view itself. With the help of the model-based design to control the system design embedded algorithms have been developed for this system and used in a simulation environment and experimental space. Various PID control techniques are applied to the system to control the speed and position of the movement subsystem. The performance of the object follower system has been tested.en_US
