İbn Aşür ve Mukaddimesi bağlamında tefsir usülündeki yeri

Abstract

Çağdaş müfessir ve düşünürlerden Tunuslu bilgin İbn Âsûr, İslâmî ilimlerin birçoğunda uzmanlık elde etmiş, XX. asrın önde gelen ilim adamlarından birisidir. O, 94 yıllık hayatı içerisinde öğretmenlik, rektörlük, kadılık ve şeyhülislamlık gibi önemli görevlerde bulunmuştur. Onun İslâmî ilimlerin çeşitli dallarında telif ettiği eserleri içerisinde en değerli, en meşhur ve diğer eserlerinin muhtevasını da içerecek biçimde en kapsamlı olanı hiç şüphesiz “et-Tahrîr ve’t-Tenvîr” adını taşıyan (15 ciltte 30 cüz) tefsiridir. Bu tefsirin giriş kısmındaki tefsir usulü ile alakalı konuları ihtiva eden on mukaddime ise, bu eserin değerini daha da artırmaktadır. Müellif ilgili mukaddimelerde tefsir usulü içerisinde bahsedilen on konuyu ele almış ve bu konularla ilgili bilgi ve görüşeri dikkate alarak önemli tespit ve ilavelerde bulunmuştur. Araştırmasında tartışmadan uzak, özlü ve yol gösterici bir yöntem takip etmiştir. Böylece her konuya baslarken o konunun kavramsal boyutuna tanımlamalar getirmiş, konu hakkındaki diğer kanaatleri zikrettikten sonra, kendi görüsünü ilave etmiştir. Araştırma içinde yer alan müellife ait özgün fikir ve tanımlar ise, bu mukaddimelere ayrı bir değer katmıştır.

One of the leading exegetes of the Qur’an and thinkers of our time is Ibn Asur of Tunis, who is well-versed in many of the Islamic sciences. He served as a teacher, rector, qadı, and shakyh al-Islam throughout his long life of 94 years. As a prolific writer, Ibn Asur has produced quite a few books in various fields of Islamic studies. Of all the books he has written, al Tahrir ve’t-Tanvir, which is a commentary on the Qur’an, is considered to be the most significant one in terms of its content and extensive coverage. The ten muqaddimahs about the tafsir methodology in the introduction of the work makes it even more valuable. In each of the so called muqaddimahs, the author deals with a specific issue in the methodology of tafsir and present his own views about these issues. In his work, Ibn Asur followed a method that does not allow polemical discussions. His interpretations are clear, to the point, and concise. Every time he starts a new issue Ibn Asur first presents the conceptual and historical background for the problem, and only then does he attempt to enter into full discussion of the subject-matter, presenting his own views. The author’s insights in to the issues and the definitions in the book are original and add to the value of the book.
