Milli Eğitimi Geliştirme Projesine bağlı okullardaki öğrencilerin gelecek zaman perspektifleri üzerine bir araştırma

Abstract

Araştırmanın genel amacı Milli Eğitimi Geliştirme Projesi'ne (MEGP) bağlı okullarda (Anadolu Öğretmen Lisesi) okuyan öğrencilerin gelecek zaman perspektiflerini, denetim odaklarını ve benlik tasarımlarını saptamaktır. Araştırmanın örneklemini Savaştepe Anadolu Öğretmen Lisesi 10. sınıfta okuyan 79'u kız, 55'i erkek olmak üzere toplam 134 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Veri toplama aracı olarak öğrencilerin gelecek zaman perspektiflerini tespit etmek için Nurmi tarafından geliştirilen Gelecek Zaman Perspektifi Anketi, öğrencilerin içten ya da dıştan denetimli olduklarım belirlemek için Nowicki ve Strickland tarafından geliştirilen ve Türkçe'ye Yeşilyaprak tarafından uyarlanan Denetim Odağı Ölçeği ve öğrencilerin benlik tasarım düzeylerini belirlemek için Baymur tarafından geliştirilen Benlik Tasarımı Envanteri kullanılmıştır. Verilerin çözümlenmesi aşamasında ilk olarak, öğrencilerin benlik tasarımı ve denetim odağı puanlan ortalamaları belirlenmiş ve cinsiyete göre fark olup olmadığını belirlemek amacıyla t-testi uygulanmıştır. Yapılan istatistiksel analizlerde.05 anlamlılık düzeyi aranmıştır. Daha sonra Gelecek Zaman Perspektifi Anketine verdikleri cevaplar iki farklı değerlendirici tarafından değerlendirilmiş ve içerdikleri kategorilere göre sınıflandırılmıştır. Bulgular tablolar halinde gösterilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonucunda elde edilen bulgulara göre Savaştepe Anadolu Öğretmen Lisesi 10. sınıfta okuyan öğrencilerin, benlik tasarım düzeylerinin yüksek olduğu ve içten denetimli oldukları saptanmıştır. Öğrencilerin geleceğe yönelik umutlarının sıralaması hem kız öğrenciler için hem de erkek öğrenciler için aynı olduğu; her iki grubun sıralamasının "eğitim", "meslek", "evlilik" şeklinde olduğu saptanmıştır. Öğrencilerin geleceğe yönelik mumutlarını gerçekleştirme kontrolleri incelendiğinde % 83'ünün kontrollerinin kendilerine bağlı olduğunu, % 17'sinin kontrollerinin kendilerine bağlı olmadığını belirttikleri saptanmıştır. Öğrencilerin geleceğe yönelik kaygılarında ilk sırayı alan kaygının "eğitim" olduğu saptanmıştır. Öğrencilerin geleceğe yönelik kaygılarını gerçekleştirme kontrolleri incelendiğinde, % 53 'ü kontrolün kendilerine bağlı olmadığını, % 47 'si kontrolün kendilerine bağlı olduğunu belirttikleri saptanmıştır. Bu sonuçlar doğrultusunda Milli Eğitimi Geliştirme Projesi (MEGP) kapsamındaki okullarda yaş dönemlerine uygun olarak öğrencilerin geleceğe yönelik umut ve kaygılan ile kazanmaları gereken beceriler dikkate alınarak öğrenci merkezli eğitim uygulanmalıdır. Öğrencilerin geleceğe yönelik umutlarını gerçekleştirmede ihtiyaçlarının saptanması, geleceğe yönelik kaygılarının azaltılmasında gerekli rehberlik hizmetlerine ağırlık verilmesi önerilmektedir.

The main purpose of this research is to determine the future time perspectives, control focuses and ego designs of the students in the schools (Anatolian High School) under the Project of Progressing National Education (MEGP). Sampling of the research was constituted by 134 students, 79 girls and 55 boys, 10th year graders in Savaştepe Anatolian Teacher Training High School. To determine the future time perspectives of the students, Future Time Perspective Survey by Nurmi, and to determine whether the children are interior or outer controlled, Control Focus Scale originally by Nowicki and Stricland and adapted to Turkish by Yeşilyaprak, and to determine the levels of ego designs, Ego Designs Inventory by Baymur were used as data collecting means. First, at the analysing stage of the data, the averages of the points for students' ego designs and control focus were determined and t-test was applied to determine whether the gender differs or not..05 meaningfulness level was looked for in the statistics analysis. Later on, the answers given by the students to Future Time Perspective Survey were evaluated by two different evaluators and classified in accordance with categories within. Findings were indicated in the tables. In the end of the research, according to the findings, 10th year graders in Savaştepe Anatolian Teacher Training High School were found high in design level and interior controlled. The order of the future expectations of the students was the same both for the girls and boys; as "education", "occupation" and "marriage". When the controls of realising the future expectations of the students, % 83 of them stated that the controls depend on themselves, and %17 of them stated that the controls do not depend on themselves. The first concern of the students for future was determined as "education". When the controls of realising the future concerns of the students, %53 them stated that the controls do not depend on themselves, and %47 of them stated that the controls depend on themselves.In the light of these results, in the schools in the coverage of the Project of Progressing National Education (MEGP), a student centred education should be applied proper to the age groups of the students by considering the skills they should gain for the future expectations and concerns. Counselling services should be considered to determine the needs for realising the future expectations and for decreasing the future concerns of the students.
