XV.-XVI. Yüzyllarda Bursa şehrindeki sağlık kurumları üzerine tarihi bir inceleme

Abstract

Osmanlı İmparatorluğu XV.- XVI.yüzyıllarda ekonomik ve sosyal yönden en parlak dönemini yaşamıştır. Refah seviyesinin yüksek olması ile birlikte toplum sağlığına verilen değer de artmıştır. Bursa, Osmanlı'nın eski başkentlerinden biri olarak önemli bir ticaret, kültür ve sağlık merkezi idi. Osmanlı'nın ilk hastahanesi olan Dârüşşifâ ve tedavi amacıyla kullanılan kaplıcalarda döneme göre çağdaş sağlık hizmetleri verilmekteydi. Biz de bu çalışmamızda ana materyal olarak tıp yazmalarından yararlandık ve şehrin sosyo-ekonomik durumu ile birlikte sağlık hizmetlerinin düzeyini inceledik.

In the XV. and XVI. centuries, The Ottoman Empire reached its most majestic period. By that means, the higher living standards caused it to rise the value of the public health. Bursa, as one of the ancient capital cities of The Ottomans, was an important trade, culture and health center. In the relevant centuries, contemporary health services were given in Dârüşşifâ that was the first hospital of The Ottomans, and in hot springs which served as treatment units. In this dissertation, we used the medical manuscripts as the main material. In the meantime, we studied the socio-economical situation and the level of health services in Bursa.
