Müzik öğretmenliği programları özel yetenek sınavlarının değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Ülkemizde yükseköğrenim kurumlarına öğrenci kabulü Ölçme, Seçme ve Yerleştirme Merkezi (ÖSYM) tarafından, Yükseköğretime Geçiş Sınavı (YGS) ve Lisans Yerleştirme Sınavı (LYS) adı verilen iki aşamalı merkezi bir sınavla yapılmaktadır. Bununla birlikte müzik öğretmenliği lisans programlarına öğrenci alınırken, diğer yükseköğretim kurumlarından farklı olarak, YGS'nin yanı sıra "Özel Yetenek Sınavı" adıyla her üniversitenin kendisinin uyguladığı merkezi olmayan özel yetenek sınavları yapılmaktadır.Türkiye'deki müzik öğretmenliği lisans programlarında verilen eğitimde birtakım uygulama farklılıkları olmasına karşın, temelinde Yükseköğretim Kurulu (YÖK) tarafından belirlenmiş ve tanımları yapılmış olan ortak ders programı uygulanmaktadır. Ancak müzik öğretmenliği lisans programlarına başvuran adayların girdiği sınavlarda, üniversiteler arasında farklı uygulamalar yapılmaktadır.Bu araştırmada, üniversiteler tarafından düzenlenen özel yetenek sınavlarının uygulanmasına ilişkin ayrıntıları içeren ve sınav öncesi adaylara dağıtılan sınav kılavuzları esas alınmıştır. Yapılan analiz sonucunda, sınavı oluşturan boyutların ağırlıklı olarak puanlanmasında benimsenen yöntemin ve uygulama farklılıklarının ÖYSP notunu önemli ölçüde etkileyebileceği belirlenmiştir.

Admission of students to the higher education institutions in Turkey is implemented through a National University Entrance Exam (YGS) and Lisance Placement Exam (LYS) organized by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). Different from the other higher education institutions accepting undergraduate students, when the students are considered for the undergraduate programs of music education departments, a special skills exam is applied by the institution, to which the student applies. Although there are differences between the practice of every individual institution‘s undergraduate program on music education, in its essence, each of these institutions offers a set of courses, the content of which are defined by the Higher Education Council (YÖK). Yet, the exams taken by the candidates of undergraduate programs of music education differ significantly from one institution to another, and the categories of these exams are weighted differently. In this research, the exam booklets distributed to the candidates are taken as the basis. According to the research carried out, it is observed that the Special Skills Raw Grade (ÖYSP) is influenced significantly by the method adopted in weighting categories and subcategories as well as the differences in the implementations.
