Kent ve felsefe ilişkisi üzerine

Abstract

Kentin bağrından çıkan felsefi düşünce, hayata, olan-bitene, varolana, dünyaya yönelik farklı bir bakışı ifade etmektedir. Kent, sadece felsefeye değil, insani olan her şeye zemin oluşturmaktadır. Kent kavramı, kentin ne olduğu üzerine oldukça geniş bir “literatür” bulunmaktadır. Ancak kent ve felsefe ilişkisi üzerine, bu yazıda, farklı bir düşünme gerçekleştirilmektedir. Felsefi düşüncenin kent yaşamına ait olduğu zaten bilinmektedir. Felsefi düşüncenin olgunlaşması için, kültürün olgunluk düzeyine ulaşması gerekmektedir. Kültürün en önemli taşıyıcısı da dildir. Dil sanatla –özellikle şiirle-, dinle, politikayla yoğrularak belirli bir olgunluğa ulaşır; bu olgunluğun kendini gösterdiği en üst düzey, felsefi düşünmedir. Felsefe dilin, konuşmanın ve yazının, ulaşabileceği en olgun düzeydir. Dil felsefeyi, felsefi düşünceyi taşıyan yegane unsurdur. Felsefenin dili de kültürle ve kültürün şekillendiği temel mekân olan kentle ve kentte bu olgunlaşmayı gerçekleştirir. Kent, felsefi düşüncenin kendine bir yaşam ve ifade alanı bulduğu yerdir. Felsefe hem kentle ilişkisinde sanatla, dinle, politikayla zenginleşerek hem de bütün bu alanlar üzerine bir düşünme etkinliği olarak kendini kentte ortaya koymuştur. Felsefe kentin çocuğudur. Kültürün kendini ifade ettiği en iyi yer olan kent felsefenin de doğup şekillenmesine zemin oluşturmuştur. Bu nedenle kent üzerine düşünmek ve kent üzerine felsefi bir bakış ortaya koymak için böyle bir yazı kaleme alınmıştır.

Philosophical thought, which emerges from the heart of city, refers to a distinct outlook on life, the things that are experienced, the things that exist and the world. City does not only pave the way for philosophy but also for everything that is humane. A considerably broad “literature” is present on the concept of city and what city is. However, in this article, a different conception is achieved on relationship between city and philosophy. It is already known that philosophical thought belongs to city life. Culture should reach a level of maturity when philosophical thought to become mature. The most significant carrier of culture is language. Language achieves a certain maturity by molding it with poetry in particular and with religion and politics; the highest level where this maturity manifests itself is philosophical thinking. Philosophy is the most mature level which language, speaking and writing can achieve. Language is the sole element that carries philosophy and philosophical thought. So, language of philosophy realizes this maturity in city and with culture and city which is the main place where culture is shaped. City is the place where philosophical thought finds itself a sphere of life and expression. Philosophy revealed itself in city in its relationship with city by enriching with art, religion and politics and also as an activity of thinking on all these areas. Philosophy is the child of city. City, which is the best place where culture expresses itself, also paved the way for birth and shaping of philosophy. Therefore, such an article has been penned for contemplating on city and putting forward a philosophical perspective on city.
