Hazcı yararcılık ve J. Bentham’ın politika felsefesi

Abstract

Yararcı geleneğin en önemli düşünürlerinden biri olan Jeremy Bentham geliştirdiği etik teorisini hem siyaset ve hukuk hem iktisat öğretisinin temeli yapmıştır. İlkçağın hazcı felsefesini, geliştirdiği teori için temel alan düşünür, bu felsefeyi yaşadığı dönemin sosyal sorunlarına çözüm olabilecek kavramsal çerçeve üzerinden sunmayı da başarabilmiştir. Bentham, hazzı eylemlerin kaynağı ve acıyı kaçınılması gereken fiil olarak dile getirmiş, bu tutumu ahlak, siyaset, hukuk ve iktisat için de tek geçerli yol olarak sunmuştur. Bu çalışmada amaç, ifade edilen gerekçelendirmeyi genel hatları ile ve etik temelli politika felsefesi bağlamında ortaya koymaktır.

Jeremy Bentham, one of the most important thinkers of the Utilitarianism tradition, made his ethical theory the basis of both political and legal and economic doctrine. The philosopher, who was based on the hedonistic philosophy of the ancient era, succeeded in presenting this philosophy through the conceptual framework that could provide solutions to the social problems of his time. Bentham expressed this attitude as the source of pleasurable actions and pain as an act to be avoided and presented this attitude as the only valid way in morality, politics, law and economics. The aim of this study is to put forward the justification expressed in general terms and in the context of ethics based policy philosophy.
