Atlarda stereotipik davranışlar

Abstract

Stereotipik hareketler atlarda yaygın olarak görülen ancak yetiştiriciler ve Veteriner Hekimler tarafından yeterince bilinmeyen bir problemdir. Stres ve uygun olmayan bakım koşulları nedeni ile oluşan bu problem, oral ve lokomotor olmak üzere ikiye ayrılır. Barındırma ve yönetimin düzenlenmesi ve gerekli durumlarda farmakolojik tedavinin yardımı ile çözümlenebilmektedir. Bu derlemenin amacı atlarda yaygın olarak görülen bu davranış probleminin sebep ve sonuçlarına dikkat çekmek ve tedavi olasılıklarını irdelemektir.

Stereotypical behaviors are the problem which is usually seen in horses and not known adequately by raisers and vets. This problem occurring due to the stress and unsuitable care conditions separates into two as oral and locomotors. It can be solved by the arrangement of housing and management and by the help of pharmacological treatment in necessary situations. The aim of this compilation is to attract attention to reasons and results of this behavioral problem usually seen in horses and explore possibilities of the treatment.
