Mahmûd Teymûr’un selvâ fî mehebbi’r-rîh adlı romanı üzerine bir inceleme

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, Modern Mısır Edebiyatı’nın önemli temsilcilerinden biri olan, hikâye, roman ve tiyatro yazarı olarak bilinen ve bu alanlarda çok sayıda eser telif etmiş olan Mahmûd Teymûr’un hayatı, edebî kişiliği, üslûbu ve eserleri hakkında kısaca bilgi verildikten sonra Selvâ fî Mehebbi’r-Rîh (Rüzgârın Esintisindeki Selvâ, 1944) adlı eseri incelenmiştir. Söz konusu romanda konu, olay örgüsü, kişi, zaman ve mekân unsurları, edebî kaynaklar temel alınarak ve modern edebiyat kurallarına uygun olarak tahlil edilmeye çalışılmıştır.In this study, Hakīm al-Tirmīdhī’s influence on Abū Hāmid Al-Ghazzālī whose impact in the history of Islamic thought is indisputable has been studied. This is conducted in the scope of his work titled Ihyā’u ulum al-dīn. The similarities between two authors’ the works are the main topic of the study. Many of Hakīm al-Tirmīdhī Works were taken as sources for many ideas in Al-Ghazzālī’s Ihyā’u ulūm al-dīn. In the study, Hakīm al-Tirmīdhī’s influence on Al-Ghazzālī is studied, regarding the topics such as heart and its soldiers, light, certainty, desire, knowledge, seclusion. Earlier Sufis influence on Al-Ghazzālī’s thought has also been studied when necessary.

In this study, after briefly giving information about the life, literary personality, style and works of Mahmûd Teymûr, who is one of the important representatives of Modern Egyptian Literature, known as story, novel and theater writer and has written many works in these fields, his novel “Selvâ isin The Breeeze of the Wind”is examined. In this novel, subject, chain of events, person, time and place elements are tried to be analyzed on the basis of literary sources and in accordance with the rules of modern literature.
