Farklı sosyoekonomik ve eğitim düzeyindeki annelerin ve babaların duygusal zekâları ile okul öncesi dönem çocuklarının duygusal zekâları arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, farklı sosyoekonomik ve eğitim düzeyindeki annelerin ve babaların duygusal zekâları ile okul öncesi dönem çocuklarının duygusal zekâ düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektir. Araştırmanın örneklemini, Bursa’da Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğü’ne bağlı, okul öncesi eğitim kurumlarına devam eden 90 çocuk, onların anne ve babaları olmak üzere toplam 270 kişi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmaya katılan anne ve babalara, Bar-On (1997) tarafından geliştirilen ve Türkçe’ye uyarlaması Mumcuoğlu (2002) tarafından yapılan Bar-On Duygusal Zekâ Ölçeği, çocuklara ise Sullivan Çocuklar İçin Duygusal Zekâ Ölçeği (S-ÇDZÖ) uygulanmıştır. Çalışmadan elde edilen veriler SPSS 20 paket programı aracılığı ile analiz edilmiştir. Normal dağılım göstermeyen verilerin analizinde Kruskal Wallis Testi (KWH) ve Mann- Whitney U Testi kullanılmıştır. Normal dağılımdan göstermeyen değişkenler arasındaki ilişkiler incelenirken Spearman’s Korelasyon Katsayısından yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, annelerin ve babaların duygusal zekâ düzeyleri ile çocukların duygusal zekâ düzeyleri arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmamıştır. Annelere uygulanan duygusal zekâ ölçeği alt boyutlarında, annelerin çalışma durumuna, annenin eğitim durumuna göre bazı farklılıklar görülmekte, ailenin sosyoekonomik durumuna göre ise anlamlı bir fark görülmemektedir. Babalara uygulanan duygusal zekâ ölçeği alt boyutlarında, babanın eğitim vii durumuna ve ailenin sosyoekonomik durumuna göre bazı farklılıklar görülmektedir. Çocuğa uygulan duygusal zekâ ölçeği alt boyutlarında, çocuğun cinsiyetine göre farklılığın görüldüğü, ailenin sosyoekonomik durumuna, annenin çalışma durumuna, annenin ve babanın eğitim durumuna göre farklılaşmadığı tespit edilmiştir.

The aim of this research is to investigate the relationship between with different socioeconomic and educational levels of parents’ emotional intelligence and levels of emotional intelligence of preschool children. In the sub-dimensions of emotional intelligence scale applied to fathers, There are some differences according to the education level of the father and the socioeconomic status of the family. Emotional intelligence scale sub-dimensions applied to the child, It was determined that there was a difference according to the gender of the child the socio-economic status of the family, the working status of the mother, and the educational status of the mother and father.
