Sürdürülebilir çevre için arı farkındalığı yaratılmasında "arı biziz bal da bizdedir" projesinin yeri

Abstract

Bal arısı bal, polen, arı sütü ve propolis gibi arı ürünlerinin üretimi nedeniyle insan yaşamında önemli bir yere sahiptir. Bundan daha önemlisi doğal tozlaşmada en fazla etkili böcek grubu olarak geleceğin besin güvencesidir. Ancak ne yazık ki çocuklarımız arı iğnesi ile sokar korkusu ile büyümekte ve bu korkuyla büyüyen çocuklar arıların doğa ve doğal sürdürülebilirlik açısından önemini fark edememektedir. Böcekler içinde önemli bir yere sahip olan bal arılarını çocuklara tanıtmak bilgilendirerek sevdirmek ve bu şekilde farkındalık yaratmak üzere TÜBİTAK Bilim ve Toplum Projeleri kapsamında “Arı Biziz Bal da Bizdedir” projesi yapıldı. Projenin amacı çocuklara bal arısını ve onun insan yaşamı ve ekolojik dengedeki fonksiyonunu kavratmaktır. Proje yaş grubuna yönelik olarak teorik ve uygulamalı eğitimler şeklinde, toplam 80 katılımcı (4 grup, her grupta 20 kişi) ile gerçekleştirildi. Her gruba eğitim öncesinde ve sonrasında arılarla ilgili mevcut bilişsel, duyuşsal becerilerini, ekosentrik ve antroposentrik bakış açılarını ve eğitim sonunda edindikleri kazanımları belirlemek amacıyla ön test ve son test uygulamaları yapıldı. Başarı testi ve resim çalışmalarından elde edilen bulgulara göre araştırma kapsamında amaçlanan arılar ile ilgili bilişsel farkındalıklarının önemli düzeyde arttığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Honey bee has an important place in human life because of bee products such as pollen, propolis and royal jelly. More importantly honey bees are the most effective pollinator insect group as a natural food assurance of the future. However younger children, unfortunately, have the fear of bee stings. They are growing with sting fear, not realize the importance of bees in terms of nature and natural sustainability. So we arranged a project, “We are the bees We have honey” within the framework of TUBĠTAK Science and Society Project. The aim of that was to introduce honeybee, its functions for human life and ecological equilibrium to children. This project, carried out for the primary school students, was conducted with the participation of totally 80 participants (four groups and 20 individuals in each group) at practical and theoretical levels. It was done pre-test and post-test applications to each group in order to determine the cognitive and effective skills, ecosentric and anthropocentric perspectives at the beginning and at the end of training course. According the findings of the achievement test and the analysis of pictures, it has been concluded that cognitive awareness related to bees aimed within the scope of this project significantly increased.
