Meşşȃî felsefesinde Allah’ın sıfatları meselesi

Abstract

Allah-âlem-insan ilişkisinde önemli bir yer tutan ‘Allah’ın sıfatları’ meselesi İslam düşüncesinde özellikle kelamcılar ve İslam filozofları tarafından en çok üzerinde durulan konulardan birisi, belki de birincisidir. Kelam alimlerinin ve İslam filozoflarının – özellikle Meşşâî filozoflarının- bu önemli konuya yaklaşımlarında belli farklılıklar görülmektedir. Gazzâlî ve sonrası dönem kelam âlimlerinin Meşşâî filozoflarının Allah’ın sıfatlarını nefyettikleri yönündeki ithamları, hatta bu ithamları tekfire kadar götürmeleri meselenin ehemmiyetini daha iyi ortaya koymaktadır. Bundan dolayı bu makale, hem Meşşâî filozoflarının yaratma ve sudûr nazariyesiyle Allah’ın sıfatlarını nasıl ele aldıklarını açıklamakta hem de bir anlamda kendilerine yöneltilen haksız eleştirilere cevap vermektedir.

Allah’s attributes is an important topic in terms of the relationship between the Creator, the universe and human beings. It is a topic which is heavily pondered upon by theologians and Islamic philosophers. Both theologians and Islamic philosophers, in particular Peripatetic philosophers, approach to this important topic with different perspectives. The fact that Ghazali and later theologians accused the Peripatetic philosophers of rejecting Allah’s attributes, and even went as far as saying they are infidels, highlights the importance of this topic. With this in mind, this article will investigate the Peripatetic philosophers’ theories in relation to creation and emanation, and explains their approach and understanding of Allah’s attributes. This will then help dispel the unjust accusations made about them.
