Türkiye’de kentsel ve kırsal kesimde gelir gruplarına göre gıda talebi

Abstract

Türkiye’de kentsel ve kırsal kesimde gelir gruplarına göre hanelerin gıda talepleri Doğrusal Formda Yaklaşık İdeal Talep sistemiyle incelenmiştir. Orta, yüksek ve en yüksek gelir gruplarındaki hanelerin gıda talep parametrelerinin fiyatlara, gelire ve sosyo-demografik değişkenlere, düşük ve en düşük gelir gruplarındaki hanelerin gıda talep parametrelerinin ise yalnızca fiyatlara ve gelire duyarlı olduğu belirlenmiştir. Türkiye’de gıda fiyat ve gelir esnekliklerinin hem kentsel ve kırsal yerleşim yerleri arasında hem de gelir gruplarına göre değiştiği çalışmanın diğer önemli bir bulgusudur.

An analysis of food demand was performed on household data classified into income groups for urban and rural areas in Turkey. Linearized Almost Ideal Demand System was used to estimate parameters of the food demand equations. The results showed demands parameters for the medium, high and the highest income households to be responsive to prices, income and socio-demographic variables. Demand for low and the lowest income households were responsive to income and prices only. The elasticities of income and prices have been changed by both income groups and settlement which are rural and urban in Turkey.
