Abdülaziz Çâvîş’in hayatı ve Anglikan Kilisesi’ne verdiği cevaplar çerçevesinde kelâmi görüşleri

Abstract

Abdülaziz Çâvîş döneminin önemli ilim merkezlerinde iyi bir eğitim almış üretken ve mücadeleci Mısır’lı İslâm âlimidir. Anglikan Kilisesi Osmanlı şeyhülislâmlık makamına İslâm dinini tanımak amacıyla sorular sormuştur. Cevap mahiyetinde yazılan eserlerden birisi de Abdülaziz Çâvîş’ in eseridir. Doğu ve batı ilimlerine vakıf olması sebebiyle cevap olarak sunduğu makul ve mantıklı deliller eserin önemini arttırmaktadır. Bu eser içerik ve kapsam bakımından yalnızca o güne değil günümüz dünyasına da ışık tutar niteliktedir. Çâvîş eserinde uzun bir girişten sonra İslâm dinini tanıtmış, güncel problemlere nasıl çözümler getirdiğini özetlemiş, dönemde yoğun tartışma meselesi olan kadın konusuna geniş bir yer ayırmıştır.

Abdulaziz Chawish was a productive and contentious Egyptian Islamic scholar who got a good education in important science centers of his time. The Anglican Church asked the Ottoman authorities questions about Islam. One of the works written for the answer is the work of Abdulaziz Chawish. As he specializes in Eastern and Western sciences, his reasonable and logical evidence in response increases the importance of the study. The content and scope of this study sheds light not only on that day but also on today’s world. Chawish introduces Islam after a long introduction, summarized Islam has provided solutions to current problems, at that time he talked about the women, which was an important topic of discussion.
