Abstract: | The objective of the present study was to determine the distribution of IGF-I receptors in the adult mice intestinal tract and the differences among trie regions of the intestine. An immunohistocehmical method was adopted to define the cellular distribution of IGF-IR in the intestional tracat. IGF-IR was found at a greater density in the crypt epithelium of the small intestine, The straining was remarkably less both in the apical region of the villi and in the crypt epithelium of the colon. No immunoreactivity was detectable in the goblet cells. |
