Özet: This paper describes color differences obtained on fabrics made from ring- and compact-spun cotton yarns after increasing cycles of abrasion. Plain and twill fabrics made from Ne 30 and Ne 50 ring- and compact-spun yarns were abraded (2,500, 5,000, and 7,500 cycles). The fabric samples were dyed using a commercial blue reactive dye (C.I. Reactive Blue 222). The greatest differences in color coordinates and color difference values were observed between 0 and 2,500 cycles of abrasion. Color differences increased at 5,000 and 7,500 cycles, but to a lesser extent. The changes in color values were smaller for thinner yarns (Ne 50) and more regular surfaces (twill weave).
