Abstract: Subdural hematoma is a rare complication subsequent to rerouting of the facialis nerve, injured during removal of a vestibular schwannoma via the translabyrinthine approach. In the current paper we present a cure of a 42 years old female with a CT verified vestibular schwannoma with a maximum extrameatal diameter of 3 cm. The nerve was cut during tumor removal and it was rerouted to the petrosal nerve. 6 days after surgery the patient developed increasing headache and ataxia. Acute CT scan revealed a subdural hematoma. The case is presented and discussed.
