Abstract: This paper presents the effects of silicone and pre-fixation temperature on the elastic properties of cotton/elastane woven fabrics, with nylon/elastane air-covered yarn used as weft yarn and cotton yarn used as warp yarn. Three fabric types with three different elastane weft yarn draw ratios were used as experimental samples. The pre-fixation process was applied to all three fabrics at two different temperatures. After finishing, half of the samples were treated with silicone and the other half were only washed. Fabric stretch and fabric growth after a specified extension was determined as elastic properties for weft stretch woven fabrics. The fabric stretch values were between 14-18% and fabric growth or recovery after a specified extension after 30 min were between 0.7-0.9%.
