Bir mizah kaynağı olarak Ebû Hayyân et-Tevhîdî'nin Besâirü'l-Hükemâ ve Zehâirü'l-Kudemâ (el-Besâir ve'z-Zehâir) adlı eseri

Abstract

Klasik Arap edebiyatının özel bir bölümünü oluşturan mizah alanına dair oldukça erken bir dönemden itibaren eserler verilmeye başlanmış, mütevazı derlemelerin yanı sıra devasa külliyatlar da meydana getirilmiştir. Bunların bir bölümü mizahî figür ve temaları müstakil olarak ele alırken, diğer bir bölümü ise ilgili malzemeyi farklı bilgi pasajları arasında serpiştirmeyi tercih etmiştir. İnceleme konusu olarak seçilen Ebû Hayyân et-Tevhîdî'nin (ö. 414/1023) el-Besâir ve'z-zehâir adlı eseri de muhtevasında din, ahbâr, hâtırât, edebiyat, filoloji ve mizah gibi birbirinden farklı kategorilerde zengin bir materyal barındıran ansiklopedik mahiyette bir derlemedir. Çalışmamızda, Arap mizah tarihinin teşekkülünü hazırlayan eserlerin oluşturduğu gelenekten ilham alan; dil, üslûp ve muhteva zenginliği ile müteakip çağlar için önemli bir kaynak haline gelmiş bulunan el-Besâir ve'z-zehâir, mizahî figür ve tema çeşitliliği yönüyle incelenmiş, anekdot örnekleri eşliğinde tespit ve değerlendirmelerde bulunulmuştur.

Muslim men of letters started to produce works in the field of classical Arabic humor from a very early date, and huge corpus was created as well as modest compilations. While some of these works dealt with humorous figures and themes independently, another part preferred to sprinkle the relevant material between different information passages. Abu Hayyân al-Tawhîdî's work al-Basair wa al-dhakhair, which was chosen as the subject of study, is an encyclopedic compilation that contains rich material in different categories such as religion, ahbâr, memoirs, literature, philology and humor. In our study, inspired by the tradition created by the works that prepared the formation of the history of Arabic humor; al-Basair wa al-dhakhair, which has become an im-portant source for the following ages with its richness in language, style and content, has been examined in terms of humorous figure and theme diversity, and some deter-minations and evaluations have been made accompanied by anecdotal examples.
