İstanbul Fatih Burmalı mescid haziresi

Abstract

Ele alınan bu çalışmada İstanbul'un Fatih ilçesi, Şehzade Cami kurbunda yer alan Burmalı Mescid Haziresi incelenmiştir. Çalışmamız üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Tezin giriş bölümünde tezin konusu, amacı, önemi, araştırma yöntemi, araştırma sınır ve kaynakları açıklanmıştır. Birinci bölümünde ise İslamiyet'te Mezar Anlayışı ve Türklerde Mezar ve Mezar Taşları üzerinde durulmuş, Burmalı Mescid ve mescidin bânisi Emîn Nûreddin'in Osman Efendi'nin hayatına değinilmiş, hazirenin bulunduğu il, ilçe, semt hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. İkinci bölümde hazirenin katalog çalışması yapılmıştır. Restorasyon sonrası yapılan çalışmada, kimliği belli yahut belirsiz 231 adet şahideli-şahidesiz mezar tespit edilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde hazirede mevcut olan mezarlar; form, yazı ve bezeme açısından değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonunda ise hazirenin bulunduğu dönemin sosyal, kültürel, dini ve sanatsal yönleri ele alınıp Osmanlı mezar taşları içerisindeki yeri tespit edilmiştir.

The Burmali Mescid cemetery which is located near the Sehzade Mosque in Fatih district of Istanbul has been examined. The study consists of three parts. The first part is the introduction in which the subject and the purpose and the scope as well as the research method and sources have been explained. İn the second part, the concept of graves in İslam, graves and gravestones in Turks are emphasized. İn addition, the Burmali Masjid and life of it's founder, Emîn Nûreddin Osman Efendi, are mentioned. Also the information on the province and the district where the burial is located is given. İn the third part, the catalog study of the cemetery is conducted. İn the post restoration study, 231 graves have been identified. İn the fourth section the graves in the cemetery have been evaluated in terms of forms, decorations and writings. At the end of the research, the social, cultural, religious and artistic aspects of the age of the cemetery have been discussed and it's importance in the ottoman tombstones has been determined.
