Manevi destek uzmanlarına göre hastanelerdeki manevi destek hizmetinin psiko-sosyal uyuma etkisi

Abstract

İnsanların giderek yalnızlaştığı günümüzde zor ve sıkıntılı süreçlerden geçerken gereksinim duyulan desteğin profesyonel yollarca sağlanması ihtiyacı hasıl olmuştur. Özellikle hastalık gibi ölümle yüz yüze gelinen bir süreçte kişiler psikolojik, sosyal ve manevi olarak çeşitli problemler yaşayabilmektedirler. Bütüncül bakımın bir gereği olarak hastaların tedavisi sürecinde ihtiyaç duyduğu psikolojik, sosyal ve manevi desteğin karşılanmasında moral ve motivasyon sağlanmasında görev alan hizmet kollarından biri de manevi destek hizmetidir. Manevi destek hizmeti, hastalık sürecinde yaşanan çeşitli problemlerde dini/manevi referanslarla hastalara eşlik etmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bu çalışmada hastaların hastalığa psiko-sosyal uyumları sürecinde manevi destek hizmetinin rolü ve etkisi incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırma teorik ve alan araştırması olmak üzere iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde din, maneviyat ve manevi danışmanlık hakkında genel bilgiler verilmiş olup hastalık sürecinde görülen çeşitli psiko-sosyal sorunlar ele alınmıştır. İkinci bölümde ise mülakat yöntemiyle Ankara, Adana, Antalya, Bursa, Eskişehir, İstanbul illerindeki hastanelerde görev yapmakta olan 24 manevi destek uzmanıyla yapılan alan araştırmasında manevi destek hizmetinin hastaların uyum süreçlerine ne ölçüde etki ettiği tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Sonuç bölümünde elde edilen bulgular özetlenerek katkı sağlayacağı düşünülen önerilere yer verilmiştir.

In today's world where people are increasingly lonely, the need to provide the needed support through professional means has emerged while going through difficult and troublesome processes. Especially in a process that comes face to face with death such as illness, people may experience various psychological, social and spiritual problems. As a requirement of holistic care, one of the service branches involved in providing morale and motivation in meeting the psychological, social and spiritual support that patients need during the treatment process is moral support service. Spiritual support service aims to accompany patients with religious/spiritual references in various problems experienced during the disease process. In this study, the role and effect of moral support service in the psychosocial adaptation of patients to the disease was tried to be examined. The research consists of two parts: theoretical and field research. In the first chapter, general information about religion, spirituality and spiritual counseling is given and various psycho-social problems seen during the disease process are discussed. In the second part, in the field research conducted with 24 moral support specialists working in hospitals in Ankara, Adana, Antalya, Bursa, Eskişehir and Istanbul, it was tried to determine to what extent the moral support service affects the adaptation processes of the patients. In the conclusion part, the findings obtained are summarized and suggestions that are thought to contribute are included.
