Özet: Parallel to the rapid increase in the importance of information in the world, the concept of information and understanding of science have also been on the rapid increase. The concepts of democracy and management are becoming different, technology is advancing rapidly and parallel to all these, problems are lived in processes of globalization and transition from industrial society to information society. Pluralization of lifestyles and social relations, changing the world through new technologies and media means, bringing the phenomenon of ecology to the agenda as a problem, population growth and migrations, life relations' becoming international and changes in values force both individuals and educational institutions to change. Today, individuals with the ability to organize information, produce new information and present it to the service of other people are needed rather than those with independent pieces of information. Changes and developments occurring in the world in individual, social and economic areas are supposed to be reflected into educational systems and programs. In the direction of this understanding, it was aimed to emphasize the importance of opinions and experiences of teachers, one of the fundamental elements of the educational process, related to themes, skills and values included within the scope of Life Science course, remove troubles and inadequacies, and achieve development by making self-criticism. The results of the interviews held and the observations made with teachers and students at 15 private and state schools in Bursa and some other provinces were evaluated.
