Hilmi Ziya Ülken’de zihin-beden ilişkisi ve özgür irade problemi

Abstract

Zihin-beden ilişkisi ve bunun özgür irade açısından değerlendirilmesi modern felsefenin en temel başlıklarından birisidir. İnsanın özgür iradesi problemi ahlâk ve sorumluluk kavramlarını da beraberin de getirmektedir. Bu konu filozoflar tarafından antik dönemlerden beri tartışılmıştır. Özgür irade kavramı dinlerinde en önemli konusunu oluşturmaktadır. Özellikle teist dinler açısından insanın özgürlüğü ona sorumluluk yüklemekte ve davranışları sonucunda da ceza ve mükafat kavramları ortaya çıkmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, Türk düşünce tarihinin en önde gelen isimlerinden, fikir adamı, düşünür, felsefeci Hilmi Ziya Ülken’in felsefe sisteminde zihin-beden ilişkisi problemi, insanın özgürlüğü meselesi ve beraberinde getirdiği ahlak sorumluluk anlayışı, alemin menşei problemi, varlık yokluk dikotomisi problemi, canlı varlığı maddeye indirgeme problemi konularında materyalizme olan reddiyesi ele alınmıştır.

The mind-body relationship and its evaluation in terms of free will is one of the most basic topics of modern philosophy. The problem of human free will brings with it the concepts of morality and responsibility. This issue has been discussed by philosophers since ancient times. The concept of free will constitutes the most important subject in religions. Especially in terms of theist religions, freedom of man imposes responsibility on him, and the concepts of punishment and reward emerge as a result of his behavior. In this study, the mind-body relationship problem in the philosophy system of Hilmi Ziya Ülken, a thinker and a philosopher, who is one of the most prominent names in the history of Turkish thought, is discussed together with the issue of human freedom and the moral responsibility it brings with, the problem of the origin of the world, the problem of the dichotomy of existence and nonexistence, and his rejection of materialism in the problems of living being's regression to matter.
