Amerikan soyut dışavurumcu resim sanatında renk kullanımı ve çeşitliliği üzerine bir araştırma

Abstract

20. yy.da ortaya çıkan değişim ve gelişmeler dönemin sanat hayatına da yansımıştır. Bu yansımalardan bir tanesi de resim sanatı bağlamında ortaya çıkan soyut dışavurumculuk akımıdır. Bu akım kapsamındaki sanatçılar eserlerinde değişimi daha da ileri taşıyarak doğa ile bağlarını tamamen ortadan kaldırmışlardır. Amerikan soyut dışavurumcu sanatçıların renk kullanımı ve çeşitliliği ile ilgili olarak var olan kaynaklar dikkate alındığında detaylı bir araştırma yapılmadığı görülmüştür. Söz konusu tespitten yola çıkarak bu araştırmada Amerikan soyut dışavurumcu resim sanatı kapsamında nonfigüratif tavır sergileyen örnek ressamların renk kullanımının görsel anlatım diline olan etkileri sanat eleştirisi yöntemi temelinde incelenerek değerlendirilmiş, çözümlenmiş ve yorumlanmıştır. Amerikan soyut dışavurumcu resim anlayışı Aksiyon resmi ve Renk alanı resmi olarak iki ana başlık altında irdelenmişir. Aksiyon resmi anlayışında; Jackson Pollock, Willem De Kooning, Hans Hofmann, Franz Kline ve Robert Motherwell Renk alanı resminde ise, Mark Rothko, Ad Rehinardt, Barnett Newman, Clyfford Still ve Helen Frankenthaler'in seçilen eserleri ele alınmıştır. Söz konusu eser seçkisi "renköğesi" bağlamında yorumlamacı ve değerlendirmeci anlayışta incelenerek araştırma derinleştirilmiştir. Yukarıda bahsedilen sanatçılar ile birlikte üçüncü bölümün alt başlıklarına uygun, farklı sanatçıların eserleri de tasarım öğe ve ilkeleri bağlamında ele alınmıştır. Yapılan tez çalışmasında incelenen sanatçıların eserlerinde renk öğesinin kendilerini ifade etme bağlamında özel bir anlatım aracı olarak kullanıldığı görülmüştür. Soyut Dışavurumcu sanatçılar yaptıkları nonfigüratif eserlerde gerçek dünya ile ilişkilerini tamamen kopararak özellikle renk öğesi temelinde özgün ve etkili bir anlatım dili geliştirmişlerdir.

The changes and developments that emerged in the 20th century were reflected in the art life of the period. One of these reflections is the abstract expressionism movement that emerged in the context of the art of painting. Artists within the scope of this movement took the change even further in their works and completely eliminated their ties with nature. Considering the existing sources regarding the use and diversity of color by American abstract expressionist artists, it has been observed that no detailed research has been conducted. Based on the aforementioned determination, in this research, the effects of the use of color on the visual expression language of exemplary painters who exhibit a non-figurative attitude within the scope of American abstract expressionist painting art were examined, evaluated, analyzed and interpreted on the basis of art criticism method. The understanding of American abstract expressionist painting was examined under two main headings as action painting and color field painting. In action painting; Jackson Pollock, Willem De Kooning, Hans Hofman, Franz Kline and Robert Motherwell In color field painting, the selected works of Mark Rothko, Ad Rehinardt, Barnett Newman, Clyfford Still and Helen Frankenthaler are discussed. The research was deepened by examining the aforementioned selection of works in the context of the "color element" in an interpretative and evaluative approach. In addition to the artists mentioned above, the works of different artists, in accordance with the sub-headings of the third chapter, have also been examined in the context of design elements and principles. In the works of the artists examined in the thesis study, it was seen that the color element was used as a special means of expression in the context of expressing themselves. Abstract Expressionist artists have developed a unique and effective language of expression, especially on the basis of the color element, by completely severing their relations with the real world in their non-figurative works.
