Abstract

19. yüzyıl Arnavutlar, Arnavut toprakları ve Arnavutluk geleceğinin şekillendiği bir yüzyıldır. Bu yüzyılda Osmanlı Devleti’nin siyasî açıdan içinde bulunduğu zor durum ve büyük güçlerle birlikte komşu ülkelerin Arnavutluk toprakları üzerinde iştahları sonucu Arnavutluk Ulusal Hareketi’nin ilk nüveleri ortaya çıkmış; Arnavut dili başta olmak üzere yeni bir devletin temelleri atılmış ve 1912 yılında da bağımsızlık ilan edilmiştir. Bu çalışmada söz konusu yüzyıl itibariyle siyasî, ekonomik, sosyal ve kültürel açıdan yoğun gelişmelerin perde arkasındaki Hıristiyanlık ve Müslümanlar ile Hıristiyanlar arasındaki ilişkilere dikkat çekilmiş; nüfusun üçte ikisinin Müslüman olduğu Arnavut topraklarının nasıl parçalanıp komşu devletlere verildiği, bu süreçte Arnavut aydın ve ileri gelenlerinin tepkileri ve çalışmaları ortaya konulmuştur. En önemlisi Hıristiyanlığın İlirya topraklarında yayılması, Katolik ve Ortodoks olmak üzere Hıristiyanlığın iki ana mezhebinin Osmanlı öncesi ve sonrasındaki durumu, dış ülkelerin müdahaleleri ve çalışmaları, Hıristiyan din adamlarının 19. yüzyılın sonlarına doğru meydana gelen toplu isyanlarda oynadıkları rol, Osmanlı öncesinden itibaren Hıristiyanlar ve Müslümanlar arasındaki ilişkiler, İslâmlaşma süreciyle birlikte baş gösteren fakat 17. yüzyıldan itibaren ortaya çıkan Kripto hıristiyanlık fenomeninin etkileri gibi ana konularla ilgili genel bir tablo oluşturulmak istenmiştir. Bunların tamamı ve daha fazlası her şeyden önce arşiv belgeleri, ardından da dönemin şahitleri aracılığıyla gözler önüne serilmiştir.

The 19th century is a century in which the future of Albanians, Albanian lands and Albania was shaped. In this century, as a result of the political difficult situation of the Ottoman Empire and the appetites of the neighboring countries on the Albanian lands with the Great Powers, the first cores of the National Movement took place, the foundations of a new state were laid, especially in the Albanian language, and independence was declared in 1912. In this study, attention was drawn to Christianity and the relations between Muslims and Christians behind the intense political, economic, social and cultural developments in the mentioned century; how the Albanian lands, where two-thirds of the population is Muslim, were divided and given to neighboring states, the reactions and works of Albanian intellectuals and notables in this process were revealed. Most importantly, the spread of Christianity in the Illyrian lands, the situation of the two main sects of Christianity, Catholic and Orthodox, before and after the Ottoman Empire, the interventions and works of foreign countries, the role of the Christian clergy in the mass revolts that took place towards the end of the 19th century, the relations between Christians and Muslims since pre-Ottoman times. relations, the effects of the Crypto-Christian phenomenon, which started with the Islamization process but emerged from the 17th century, was intended to create a general picture about the main subjects. All of these and more have been revealed, first of all, through archival documents and then through the witnesses of the period.
