Türk romanında intihar (1872-1960)

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, 1872-1960 yılları arasında yazılmış 126 romanda intiharolgusunu inceledik. Girişte intihar hakkında genel bilgi verdikten sonra intiharın felsefe,sosyoloji, psikoloji, din boyutunu ele aldık. Genel olarak kişileri intihara sürükleyensebepler, intihar edenlerin yaş, cinsiyet, medeni durum, meslek, eğitim düzeylerini dearaştırdık. ntihar edenleri bu eyleme sürükleyen sebepleri ve tercih ettikleri yöntemlerhakkında da bilgi verdik. ntihar edenlerin ölmeden önce yazdıkları notlardan alıntılaryaptık.ki Bölümde incelediğimiz bu çalışmanın birinci bölümünde, Dünya ve Türkedebiyatlarında intihar olgusunun önemini belirterek intihar eden edebiyatçıları tanıttık.Batı romanlarında intiharın işlendiği romanlardan kısaca bahsettikten sonra TürkEdebiyatında intiharla ilgili yazarlar hakkında bilgi verdik. Türk romanında intiharın elealındığı ikinci bölümü 12 başlıkta inceledik. Bu bölümün ilk başlığında ?TürkRomanında Gerçekleşmemiş ntiharları? konu edindik. Bu başlıkta, romanlardakarşılaştığımız intihar düşüncesi, intihar tavsiyesi, intihar tehdidi ve intihar girişiminideğerlendirdik. Diğer başlıklarda ise roman karakterlerini intihara sürükleyenpsikolojik, felsefû, ve sosyolojik sebepler üzerinde durduk. ntiharların daha çokdepresyona bağlı olarak geliştiğini gördük bazı intiharlarda ise intihar eden kişinincinnet geçirdiğini tespit ettik. Bu karakterlerin intihar ederken seçtikleri yöntem, zamanve mekânları değerlendirdik. Çalışmamızın sonuna intihar eden karakterlerin eğitim,meslek, yaş, cinsiyet ve aile yapılarını gösteren bir tablo ekledik.

In this study, we have researched the concept of suicide in 126 novels, all writtenbetween the years 1872-1960. After giving general information about suicide in theintroductory part, we have put emphasize on the philosophical, sociological, phychologicaland religious aspect of suicide. We have also researched the reasons in general, that leadpeople to commit suicide and the age, sex, marital status, occupation and training level ofthose who have committed suicide. In addition, we have presented information about thefactors pushing people howards suicide and the ways they have chosen to commit this act.We have cited the notes that those who have committed suicide wrote before death.In the first part of this study consisting of two parts we have made well known thewriters of literature who have committed suicide, stressing the importance of the suicideconcept in the world and Turkısh literature. After pointing out the novels in which suicidehas been committed in the west novel, we have given information about the writersassociated with suicide in the Turkısh literature. We have studied the second part that dealswith in Turkısh novel in 12 different sections In the first section of this part we have dwelledon the ?The suicide not committed in the Turkısh Novel?. In this section we have assessedthe thought of suicide in the novels, suicide advice, threat and attempt. In the other sectionwe have dwelled on the phychological, philosophical, political and sociological factors thatlead the character in the novel to suicide. We have realized that the acts of suicide are mostlyrelated to depression and in some cases we have noticed that the one who has committedsuicide has lost control of his mind. We have assessed the place, time and method that thesecharacters have chosen while commitling suicide. In the end of our study we have added achart showing the family structure, sex, age, occupation and training of the characters in thenovel who have committed suicide.
