Toplumsal anlam dünyası ve intiharın toplumsal algısı: Bursa örneği

Abstract

Bireyin tercihli ölümü olan intihar, arkaik dönemlerden günümüze uzun bir geçmişe sahiptir. İntihar, özellikle felsefe, sosyoloji ve psikoloji olmak üzere pek çok disiplinin konusu olmuştur. Antik Yunan’dan beri intihar, farklı düşünsel temellerde ve farklı toplumsal koşullarda farklı algılamalarla değerlendirilmiştir. Buradan yola çıkarak, bu çalışmada, “Kavramlar ve olgular, farklı toplumsal eğilimlerde farklı algılamalarla değerlendirilir.” varsayımından hareketle, ‘intihar’ı kavramsal ve olgusal boyutlarda bu varsayımın içine yerleştirmek, toplumların tarihsel değişimi içinde intihar algılamasının toplumsal farklılaşmasını göstermek ve bu bağlamda, ‘intihar’ı, farklı değerler dünyası içinde farklı algısal boyutlarda değerlendirmek amaçlanmaktadır. Çalışma, intiharın toplumsal algısını, toplumsal anlam dünyalarını tarihsel bir düzlemde arkaik dönemlerden günümüze taşıyarak ortaya koymaktadır. Bu bağlamda, çalışmanın birinci bölümü olan “İntiharın Sosyo-Linguistik İnşası” başlığı altında, kavramların içeriklerinin toplumlarla birlikte değiştiği vurgusuyla, intiharın kavramsal yol alışı gösterilmiştir. Toplumların intihara yönelik algıları, intihar için kullandıkları kelimelere yüklenilen anlamları belirlemiştir. “Farklılaşan Anlam Dünyaları ve İntihar Algılayışları” başlıklı ikinci bölümde, arkaiklerden yirminci yüzyıla uzanan geniş bir tarih, toplumların ve düşünürlerin intihara yönelik algıları ile ele alınmıştır. Yine bu bölümün son başlığı olan “Uzakdoğu ve Hint Felsefelerinde İntihar Algılayışı”nda, doğu kültürlerindeki intihar algılayışının, Batı kültürlerinin intihar algılayışından oldukça farklılaştığı gözlenmiştir. Uzakdoğu ve Hint inanışlarına göre gerçekleştirilen intihar ritüellerinin, Batı’da, özellikle arkaik dönemlerdeki intihar uygulamalarıyla benzeştiği söylenebilir. Üçüncü bölümde ise, “Farklı Toplum Kesimlerinin İntihar Algılayışı Üzerine Bir Deneme” başlığı altında, çalışmanın tümünde, ‘toplumsal anlam dünyası ve intiharın toplumsal algısı’ arasında kurulan teorik ilişkilendirmenin, günümüz dünyasında Bursa örneği çerçevesinde karşılaştırmalı bir denemesi yapılmıştır. Sonuç olarak, toplumların değişen anlam dünyalarında, intiharın toplumsal algısının farklılaştığı saptanmıştır.

Suicide, is preferential death of human, has a long history from archaic periods to now. Suicide has been subject of many discipline, particularly philosophy, sociology and psychology. Since Antique Greek, suicide has evaluated in different perceptions in the different intellectual bases and different social conditions. In accordance with, in this study, referring the hypothesis that “Concepts and phenomenons are evaulated with different perceptions in different social tendencies”, to locate of ‘suicide’ into the hypothesis in the conceptual and factual dimensions, to show social differentiation of suicide perception in the historic evolution of societies and in this context, to evaluate the ‘suicide’ with different perceptive dimensions in different values world are purposed. The study exhibits social perception of suicide carrying the social meanings from archaic periods to now in a historic plane. In this context, under the topic “The Socio- Linguistics Construction of Suicide” that is the first chapter of the study has showed conceptual roadmap of suicide with stress that contents of concepts changed along with societies. The suicide perceptions of societies has determined the meaning that they used words for suicide. Under the topic of “Differential Meaning Worlds and Suicide Perceptions”, in the second chapter, an extensive history, lied from archaics to twentieth century is discussed with the suicide perceptions of societies and intellectuals. In the last topic of this chapter- “Suicide Perception of in the Philosophies of The Far East and India”- it is observed that suicide perceptions are quite a bit differentiated from East cultures to West cultures. It may be said that suicide ceromonies that executed according to beliefs of The Far East and India Philosophies are the same with the suicide pratiques in archaic periods in the West. Under the topic of “A Practice on Suicide Perception of Different Society Region”, in the third chapter, a comparative practice of theoretical relation, assembled between ‘social meaning and social perception of suicide’ in the all of study in the frame of sample of Bursa in the nowadays world. Consequently, it is ascertained that the social perception of suicide differentiates in the changing meaning worlds of societies.
